Glorified: Robb Moser
Genesis to Revelation Bible Blogs
Christ is glorified primarily through his sacrificial death, resurrection, and ascension, which manifested God’s power, justice, and love. This divine glory signifies Jesus’ victory over death and his exalted status. It is realized in believers through their transformation, endurance of hardship, and in his final, supreme manifestation of majesty.
Key Aspects of Christ’s Glorification
The Cross and Resurrection: Jesus identified his death as the hour of his glorification, as it displayed his glory through, not apart from, suffering.
Exaltation: Following his humiliation on earth, God highly exalted Christ, seating him at his right hand and bestowing honor upon him.
The Manifestation in Revelation: The apostle John describes the glorified Christ with a face like the sun, eyes like fire, and a voice like roaring waters.
Glorified in Believers: Christ is glorified today through the lives of his followers—through their redemption, transformation, and faithful endurance.
How to Glorify Christ
Trusting in Him: Trusting in God’s goodness during trials serves to glorify Him.
Proclamation and Obedience: Sharing the gospel, living according to His Spirit, and showing compassion.
Worship and Service: Offering one’s life as a living sacrifice.
