Walter Martin (1928–1989) was a prominent American evangelical theologian, author, and radio host renowned as the original “Bible Answer Man” who founded the Christian Research Institute in 1960. He was the author of the influential “The Kingdom of the Cults” in 1965 and father of the anti-cult movement.
