C.H. Spurgeon (1834 - 1892) was a British Calvinist Baptist preacher and prolific author that was born in England. He was known as the "Prince of Preachers" and delivered thousands of sermons. He founded the Pastors’ College in 1856, training over 900 ministers, and established Stockwell Orphanage, housing 500 children.
