Edmund Clowney (1917–2005) was an influential American theologian, pastor, and educator, widely recognized as a "patriarch" of modern redemptive-historical preaching. He spent the majority of his career at Westminster Theological Seminary, where he served as the institution's first president from 1966 to 1984. Clowney is best known for championing Christ-centered biblical theology, arguing that every part of Scripture including the Old Testament points to the person and work of Jesus Christ.
