John Piper (1946) is a Reformed Baptist theologian and retired pastor. Specializing in New Testament studies, he is chancellor of Bethlehem Seminary in Minneapolis. Piper taught biblical studies at Bethel University for six years (1974–1980) before serving as pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church for 33 years (1980–2013).
